BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
People with business skills are the ones that make the deals that build profitable companies that power the global economy. A career in business can take an individual to the CEO's corner office on the top floor of a skyscraper or around the world making million-dollar deals. Courses in the Management program prepare students with the foundational knowledge to formulate policies and directly manage the operations of businesses of all sizes and types. Students are afforded an opportunity to learn how business affects their lives and how they can benefit from the business world.

AGRICULTURAL MECHANICS
People who work in Agricultural Mechanics apply knowledge of engineering, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, power, structures, and controls to the field of agriculture. They design agricultural structures as well as machinery and equipment. They develop ways to conserve soil and water and to improve the processing of agricultural products.

PLANT AND ANIMAL SYSTEMS
Students in the Plant and Animal Systems program will study plants and their growth to help producers of food continue to feed a growing population while conserving natural resources and maintaining the environment. In addition, they will be prepared to work with animal systems to develop better, more efficient ways of producing and processing meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products. They also study genetics, nutrition, reproduction, growth, and development of domesticated farm animals.

BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
The Construction Technology program offers students practical training in the entire range of residential and light commercial building techniques including estimating building costs, carpentry, cabinetmaking, residential wiring, blueprint reading, brick masonry, construction, building codes, and safety. Classroom knowledge is enhanced through multiple hands-on projects.

MACHINE TOOL TECHNOLOGY
Machine Tool Technology students learn how to set up and operate manual machines to cut and shape metal according to blueprint specifications. Equipment used includes lathes, mills, band saws, grinders, and measuring instruments. Along with machining, students learn precision measurement, welding, and blueprint reading skills. Students in this program need to possess strong math skills. Careers in this field are in extremely high demand.

PLTW – PRE-ENGINEERING
The PLTW – Pre-Engineering program teaches students that real-world problems often have multiple solutions with many pathways to achieve success. Through engaging projects, students are empowered to explore possibilities, experiment, learn from failure, and turn ideas into reality. Students are encouraged to adopt a problem-solving mindset, engaging them in compelling, real-world challenges that help them become better collaborators and thinkers.

AUTOMOTIVE COLLISION REPAIR TECHNOLOGY
This program is designed to prepare students to repair automobiles and light commercial vehicles under the supervision of an experienced automotive collision repair technician. Automotive Collision Repair Technology students receive instruction in frame alignment, surface finishing, and shop management. Upon successful completion of the program standards, the student will have the opportunity to acquire I-CAR Pro Level 1, and be prepared for postsecondary education, and entry-level automotive collision repair-related careers. Program standards are based on ASE, Vehicle Manufacturers, and I-CAR industry standards.

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY
The Automotive Technology program is designed to prepare students to perform entry-level maintenance and repair tasks under the supervision of an experienced technician. Students in this field enjoy working with their hands, whether they are getting dirty working on automotive drivetrain systems, suspension and brake systems, or completing electrical system repairs. Technology and creative thinking skills are used by students to diagnose today’s complex automobile. Students also learn to inspect, maintain, and repair cars and light trucks from small simple repairs to complicated drivetrain repairs. Program standards are based on ASE industry standards, and students have the opportunity to obtain multiple ASE entry-level certifications, as well as other industry certifications.

HEALTH SCIENCE
The Health Science program provides students with the broad foundational knowledge, medical skills, and training necessary to succeed in postsecondary healthcare education and/or to successfully transition into the healthcare workforce. Students in this program concentrate on the skills needed by all healthcare professionals with an emphasis on employability, safety, basic life support, and basic patient care.

SPORTS MEDICINE
Sports Medicine emphasizes career exploration and the prevention of athletic injuries, including the components of exercise science, kinesiology, anatomy, principles of safety, first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and AED use. The subject matter also includes legal issues, members of the sports medicine team, nutrition, protective sports equipment, environmental safety issues, principles of taping and wrapping, mechanisms of injury, and application of other sports medicine concepts. Students interested in healthcare careers in athletic training, physical therapy, medicine, exercise physiology, nursing, biomechanics, nutrition, psychology, and radiology will benefit from this program.

COSMETOLOGY
The Cosmetology program is designed to prepare students to qualify and successfully complete all requirements for a South Carolina Cosmetology license. Students receive training that follows the guidelines and regulations established by the South Carolina Labor, Licensing, and Regulation Cosmetology Board. The course of study includes sanitation and safety, professionalism, and salon management, along with professional hair, nail, and skin care skills. Instruction in chemistry, bacteriology, anatomy, and physiology of the face, head, arms, and hands is incorporated by means of theory and practical application on both mannequins and live models.

EMERGENCY AND FIRE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
The Firefighter program is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge and skills needed to become a volunteer and/or career firefighters within an organization both during and after graduation. This program gives students an understanding of the basic concepts of emergency and fire services including career opportunities, safety precautions, federal, state, and local regulations/standards, technological skills, operation of emergency vehicles, and much more. Students receive instruction in CPR, First Aid, Firefighter Certification Levels I and II, Auto Extrication, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and Hazardous Materials Operations through the South Carolina Fire Academy.

LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES
The Law Enforcement Services program prepares students for entry-level positions in local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and private security. Standards in this program address what a worker needs to know and be able to do to contribute to a safe, productive, and effective work environment. With a strong emphasis on workplace skills such as integrity, dependability, stress tolerance, attention to detail, decision-making, critical thinking, listening, and speaking, highly motivated students are prepared for future law enforcement careers.
